Motivational Speaker Kelly Swanson To Speak At Fundraiser for The Enrichment Center

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - June 4, 2013 - PRLog -- The Enrichment Center, an affiliated chapter of the Arc, is celebrating their 30th birthday this year by hosting a celebration to honor those who have contributed to the success of the Center. They are featuring motivational speaker Kelly  Swanson.

The Enrichment Center, located in Winston-Salem, NC, has grown over the last 30 years from serving the first three students to serving over 500 adults with disabilities. The Center's mission is to walk alongside adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities - to help empower them by offering life skill classes, art instruction, and helping to find employment. From the Percussion Ensemble who has performed in New York and has several CDs, to an impressive gallery of art created by the residents - it is clear to see that the Center is truly a place that honors Growth, Dignity, and Choice by empowering individuals with disabilities. The list of changed lives is long - as is the list of people waiting to enroll in the center. And The Enrichment Center is kindly asking for the community's help - to help raise awareness and raise the funds to allow more students in the center. Every little bit helps, and one more dollar is one more dollar closer to a changed life.

As part of the 30th celebration, award-winning storyteller Kelly Swanson will be delivering her hilarious and powerfully motivating one-woman show. The night is sure to be filled with laughter and maybe a few tears as we hear the stories of those whose lives have been changed.

The event will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2013. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $60.00 per person. For more information contact Crystal B.
