Repstor awarded G-Cloud services contract by Government Procurement Service

Repstor, the leading provider of Outlook Collaboration Software, has been awarded a framework agreement in the Software as a Service (SaaS) lot of the new G-Cloud iii programme

LONDON - May 30, 2013 - PRLog -- Repstor is delighted to announce that it has been successful in being selected as a supplier on the latest Government Procurement Service G-Cloud programme.

This means that all GCloud customers will have access to the Repstor Software as a Service offering via the Cloudstore later this month. This offering provides organisations with the tools needed to ensure their users adopt their cloud based ECM systems while reducing change management requirements, increasing productivity and ensuring compliance with policy aimed at meeting regulatory requirements.

The G-Cloud Programme is a cross government initiative with the focus on introducing cloud ICT services into government departments, local authorities and the wider public sector. G-Cloud covers the processes of buying, managing and using cloud services. The goal of G-Cloud is to move government ICT service provision from a costly dedicated development that is often duplicated many times over, to taking the best fit the market has to offer that balances functionality, service levels and cost. Essentially G-Cloud will provide Public Sector Bodies with a range of the best industry IT services and solutions available off-the-shelf for use when they need them.

The Government Procurement Service (GPS) has put in place a Pan Government G-Cloud Framework Agreement (RM1557).  It will be available for use by all UK Public Sector bodies, which include Central Government Departments and their Arms Length Bodies and Agencies, Non Departmental Public Bodies, NHS Bodies & Local Authorities as a procurement vehicle by which to access Cloud Computing Services.

“This win further extends our range and delivery model of product offerings into the Public Sector. We look forward to being part of a community of SME’s that help the Public Sector Bodies efficiently meet business requirements by delivering great value cloud based products and services,” Alan McMIllen, CEO, Repstor.
