South Street, Long Beach, CA 90805, will host the 2012 London Paralympics Gold Medalist in Archery, Jeff Fabry, and his Freedom ArchersTM from 10am to 3pm.
Joining Jeff Fabry in the Archery demo will be Martha Chavez, a veteran wounded during her military service and new to the sport, who will demonstrate her new found love for archery and discuss how Freedom Archers and Jeff Fabry have impacted her life and helped her cope with her injuries after leaving the military. The mission of the Freedom Archers™ is to promote physical rehabilitation amongst injured veterans and focus on their strengths instead of their limitations. Jeff Fabry says of his new role as Ambassador to the World of Disabled Athletes and Archery, “Off the field, I would like to assist other disabled individuals to experience the sport of archery… granted, not everyone will have the same interest in the sport I love, but it may help them discover another passion in their own life.” Come see Jeff Fabry and the Freedom Archers™ in person for an archery demonstration that won’t soon be forgotten.
