Senior Living Community Hosts Three-day Anniversary Celebration

May 2, 2013 - PRLog -- ELMHURST, Ill.  — Park Place of Elmhurst is celebrating its one-year anniversary with three days of festivities for local seniors and adult children. Elmhurst’s only Life Care retirement community invites members of the greater community to hear from a national expert on senior health and tour the one-year young continuing care retirement community.

“Throughout the past year, Park Place has grown to be an integral part of the city of Elmhurst,” said Park Place Executive Director Don Engelsman. “One year ago we had a beautiful new campus, but this year the true community, our residents and staff, have grown together to make Park Place a vibrant option for retirement living. We’re excited to share this with the greater community as we celebrate our first anniversary.”

The special three-day event begins at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, with speaker Dr. Thomas Sattler, a National Fitness Hall of Fame member, renowned author and teacher. Dr. Sattler will discuss how to stay healthy as you age, and how the health benefits of a CCRC such as       Park Place could help lead a fulfilling, stress-free life.

At 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, Park Place welcomes local adults to a presentation from          Dr. Sattler about how to help senior parents find the retirement community to best suit the lifestyle they desire. This seminar will examine how to find the right balance of care and community. It will take place at the Park Place Health and Wellness Center.

The final event of the celebration will be the one-year anniversary open house from 11 a.m. to    3 p.m. on Saturday, May 11. This special event will include community and residence tours, as well as refreshments and live entertainment.

Thursday, May 9

2 p.m.

Dr. Thomas Sattler Presentation for

Adult Children

Dr. Thomas Sattler will present to adult children on how best to collaborate with their parents to find the right blend of care and community.  This event will be held in the Park Place Health and Wellness Center at 1150 South Euclid Avenue in Elmhurst.

Saturday, May 11

11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Open House
