MELBOURNE, Australia - May 1, 2013 - PRLog -- After 3 months enjoying over ten thousand (10,000) downloads, and a great many games played, the latest title from Independent Melbourne based developer, PKCLsoft (http://www.pkclsoft.com) has just received a load of new features, and improvements.

PKCLsoft has been busy updating this popular game, taking into consideration feedback from a number of active players and reviewers.

Improvements such as new "power ups" and other game play features have been made to keep the game alive, as players look for new ways to improve their scores.

Many other changes have been made to improve playability, provide visual feedback to the player, and allow new game strategies to be employed; all coming together to make a great new game even better.

The great thing about Claustrophobic is that it is unique.  There are no other tilt-based games that are also of the endless runner (or roller in this case) genre that make such an effective use of the mobile devices screen.

This combined with the way that every component or feature of the game play can be used to help or hinder the game provides players with a vast array of strategies that can be used to gain a higher score.

One of the new features in the new release is the Fireball power up.  A player can collect up to 8 of these that can be used at any time.  A Fireball, when activated swirls around the players ball, cleaning the field of obstacles that might normally end a players game.  A Fireball will also score the player more points when it collects tokens.  The downside of a Fireball is that it is not as easy to control, so sometimes a "good" obstacle that the player wants to strike with his/her ball is wiped out.

Similarly, the new Shield power up will protect the ball from all obstacles good and bad.  This is great for clearing the field of wormholes and vortexes, but not so great for other things.

Reviews received for the game since its initial release have been kind; giving the game 4.5 stars in the App Store.  A few have these great things to say:

"This game is one of those great time wasters that you will keep playing over and over again to beat your previous score."

"This is a fun addicting game! A tilt to control game play that is easy to get the hang of. Very detailed instructions (there are a lot of different ball-like objects to look out for). I liked it better on my iPhone but works well on iPad too! Great graphics! Well made app! Worth the price!"

"This game is so addicting! I played for a while just trying to beat my personal best. This game does take some getting use to, but if you are persistent, you will do just fine! It is a great time-waster, that's for sure!"

PKCLsoft will be setting Claustrophobic to free for a day when the update is released.
