Opening Night Of Racing This Saturday At All American Speedway

ROSEVILLE, Calif. - April 3, 2013 - PRLog -- OPENING NIGHT OF RACING THIS SATURDAY AT ALL AMERICAN SPEEDWAY

This Saturday night, April 6th, All American Speedway will host opening night for the NASCAR Whelen All American Championship series. After a long quiet off season, the track is ready to come alive with its first full house featuring the NASCAR Late Models, Modifieds, Street Stocks, Bombers and the F4 division. Many new rookies and new drivers moving up in all divisions shall make the 2013 season full of excitement and heated battles for the speedway title.  Saturday's forecast is projected to be sunny and in the 70's so come out and join us for the season opener as the divisions are sure to put on a great show!

A short recap from last year's season, Mickey Owens captured another championship in Street Stocks as well as Matt Scott in the Late Models. David Thompson claimed the Bombers title and is expecting to be driving a Late Model this year. Scott Winters collected his fourth All American Speedway Championship in the Modifieds as well as the king in the NASCAR California State Championship.  

Some notable drivers to watch out for are up and coming young guns and new drivers in the Late Model division will be Tony Mangini, Cody Thompson, Hayden Pedersen, Austin Gant, David Thompson, Danny Allen, Bryce Napier, James Bickford. Allen, Napier and Bickford are all waiting till their 14th birthday to begin their first race in a Late Model. International driver,  Hayden Pederson from Rotorua, New Zealand will be fielding the No. 16 Bill McAnally Racing car.

The Modified division is also going to be stacked with new drivers and they are Kelsie Martin, Dylan Cappello, Ricky Bowers, Mike Mitchell, Sheldon Didinger and Spencer Hill. Late Model driver Colin Bailey is registered to drive for the No. 55 Modified this year.

Jill Schmidt is making her transition to the Street Stock division from running bombers in the past. Wayne Sovieralski signed up yesterday to drive the No.37 Street Stock machine.

Racing starts at 6:00pm

Pit Pass $40 Non Member, $30 NASCAR Member
Pit Gates Open at 1:00pm
Registration/Pre-Tech at 1:00pm
Cars on track by 2:30pm
Age Limit for Pit Entrance is (8+ with Parental Consent)
