Pool Pros Inc Owner Appointed to the Advisory Board of the Fort Myers YMCA

FORT MYERS, Fla. - March 13, 2013 - PRLog -- The YMCA has long been dedicated to the commitment of nurturing the potential of children and fostering a sense of social responsibility within local communities. Recently, Fort Myers YMCA appointed local businessman and community leader, Joe Mitchell, to its advisory board. Mitchell, the owner of Pool Pros (http://www.PoolPros-Inc.com), is respected as a strong supporter of children, education and the Lee County community. He and his wife Theresa have been the sponsors of several fundraising events such as the Kiwani’s B.U.G. Run and are the founders of Heights Watch D.O.G.S., a group providing positive male role models in schools.

Cole Peacock, Area President of Lee County YMCA explained the appointment, “Joe has been a basketball coach here for years and the commitment that he shows to the lives of children in the community is exactly the kind of leadership that we want here at the YMCA.”

The Y offers many daily youth programs including:
• Sports
• Gymnastics, dance, and cheer
• Before & After School Program where students are provided homework help and fed a proper meal. This program is typically half the price of similar programs.
• Summer camp
Additionally, the Fort Myers-Bonita Springs YMCA (http://www.southcountyfamilyymca.org/locations/fort-myers...) is looking to expand its footprint by opening new locations in Lee County; including a new location for the Cape Coral YMCA.
