Feb. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Attorney Bernard E. Layne, III of Mani Ellis & Layne, PLLC was recently elected president of the West Virginia Association for Justice (WVAJ) for the upcoming year. As such, attorney Layne will help the association uphold its mission to preserve and improve the civil justice system so that “any persona who is injured by the misconduct and negligence of others can obtain justice in America’s courtrooms.” According to the association’s mission statement, WVAJ helps families throughout the state by promoting safer products, job sites and healthcare. Attorney Layne was raised in a West Virginia mining community. During this time, his parents taught him the value of hard work and honesty. He then earned a M.A. in Sociology from Ohio University and a Juris Doctorate from The University of Dayton School of Law.
