Dayton Studio Merges With Indianapolis 501C(3) To Develop Ohio Talent Pool.

Feb. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Act Out’s President, Kelechukwu “Chu” Oparah began in January of 2011 to provide a facility in Dayton for performers to train and develop their craft. Having been a music, film and video producer in Nashville before moving to Dayton, Oparah knew that if he wanted to be able to produce quality media, a place that had the sort of instruction and workshops that could match the level of preparation available in full-time markets like Los Angeles or New York was imperative. “Dayton has no shortage of talented singers, dancers, or actors, but if producers ever want to create the sort of media that can turn Dayton into a viable production hub for the Midwest, a reality that would mean millions in revenue to the region, raw talent is going to have to be converted into marketable, competitive skill,” says Oparah, So, Act Out Talent Studio was born.

EGS has been an Indianapolis staple of youth, economic and character development since 2008, and looks to share its success in reaching over 30,000 young people in Indianapolis to the Dayton Community. “I love this craft and this industry, and by providing access to training and set experience for hundreds of students from 9 - 18 in southern Ohio, I expect that this area will soon become a place that supports production of recorded media in every way,” says Oparah.  With EastGate Studios having great strengths and experience in theater, film, and audio production since 2008, the tandem of the two organizations in Ohio promises to usher in great opportunites for the performance industry in the region.

Elevate blends pro performers with student performers and includes performance mediums like music video, comedy sketches, on air hosting, short films, live music performance, fashion and commercial runway and performance art that you’ll have to see to believe. This merger is a huge step in the right direction for the region. Creating a vision for the highest levels of professionalism in the region’s performers has been the primary motivator for Oparah’s commitment to bring the industry’s top creative professionals to Dayton in 2013. “Sure it’s important to have great development programs for performers in skill and brand marketing, but we feel it’s important to go a step further.
