New Downtown Gallery does Fine Art with a Heart

New fine art gallery in Downtown Greenville, SC offers exquisite modern art to the Upstate, along with a commitment to the non-profit community.

PRLog - Jan. 30, 2013 - GREENVILLE, S.C. -- If you have observed some recent activity on West North Street in downtown, you were most likely seeing the stunning transformation of 17 West North’s first floor into Greenville’s newest fine art gallery and event venue, Gallery Seventeen. This joint venture between nationally renowned artist Brian Hibbard and his art manager, George Ewing, is the realization of over three years of market research and planning. The gallery opens this Friday, February 1st and the Grand Opening Exhibition and Reception will be March 1st from 6-9pm and the public is invited to attend.

Gallery Seventeen's primary focus is to introduce an incredible selection of local, regional, nationally, and internationally collected artists to Greenville and the Upstate. To accomplish this, Hibbard and Ewing have acquired the talents of Bracken Sansbury, an accomplished Gallery Director, who has a history of creating amazing and approachable spaces throughout the Southeast. She has garnered a reputation for identifying and assembling extraordinary fine art offerings, presenting them in a one-of-a-kind gallery setting, with paintings, pottery, sculpture, and jewelry for every taste and design preference.

In addition to the fine art available, Gallery Seventeen also has over 2000 square feet of space to host your next special event. This space will be perfect for your luncheon, wine tasting, reception, shower, or gala. Supporting the arts and the greater community is of the utmost importance to the gallery owners and staff, so they have committed to offering up the space to one charity or non-profit organization each month, free of charge, for fundraisers, benefits, or other community events. These dates will certainly fill up quickly, so please contact the gallery for further details. The gallery will exhibit artworks from traditional subject matter to the challenging abstract, so Gallery Seventeen will be able to assist both the new and seasoned collector throughout the entire acquisition process. Whether your goal is one special piece or building a collection, they have created a welcoming gallery where individuals, designers, and corporations may conveniently and enjoyably purchase collectable works of fine art.

In addition to the physical gallery space, Gallery Seventeen offers both personal and corporate level consulting services for small to large-scale corporate and residential projects. Whether filling a small room or office, a house, or corporate offices, they are available to help establish a fresh, relevant, and cohesive collection with ease.Gallery Seventeen is sure to become a formidable complement to the already thriving downtown arts scene. Stop by and see this amazing space for yourself from 11am-6pm Tuesday through Friday, 11am-7pm Saturday, and 1pm-5pm Sunday or by appointment.
