Education is on the Menu! - Taste of the Town 2013

Jan. 22, 2013 - PRLog -- TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 5th, 2013: Come taste the many delectable offerings by our fabulous restauranteurs.  The New Braunfels ISD Education Foundation will host its 3rd Taste of the Town on Tuesday, February 5, at McKenna Events Center, 801 W. San Antonio Street, from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.  Childcare will be offered by the YMCA at the NBISD Learning Center, email childcare@ymcasatx.org for details and reservations.

Taste of the Town is an opportunity for local restaurants to showcase their cuisine and for you to experience an evening of fun!  
Tastes will be provided from Wahoo's Fish Taco, Gruene Flour Cupcakery, Spud Ranch, Rudy's Country Store and BBQ, Phoenix Saloon, Pavlock's Cafe, Papa Murphy's, Palmers Restaurant, Olives Italian Market, New Braunfels Smokehouse, NB Brewing Company, McAdoo's Seafood Co., Huisache Grill, Happy Dragon, Tri-City Distributors, Gruene River Grill, Granzin B-B-Q, Faust Brewing Co., Eden Hill, Clear Springs Catering, Wright Distributing, Clear Springs Cafe, Carino's Italian Grill, Cafe Comal, Buffalo Wings Rings, Blue Bell Creameries, Arbys and 2 Rivers Coffee.

In addition to sampling bites from the restaurants, entertainment will be provided by The NBHS Jazz Band, The Silver Sounds and music from Paul McLaughlin.  Amazing raffle baskets will include items from: J&R Gymnastics, West Haven Academy of Karate, Johnny Manziel, Centerpoint Station, The Landmark Salon and Landmark Lofts, William Edge Salon, Myron's Steakhouse, Hill Publications/Taste of NB, Texas Tubes, Alarm Automation, Casteel & Casteel, Texas Ski Ranch and many more!  In addition, a silent auction of items created by NBHS art students will take place.

The New Braunfels ISD Education foundation provides resources to inspire learning, enrich teaching, and enhance opportunities for the teachers and students of NBISD.  Proceeds from this event will remain in the NBISD community and be used to directly benefit our teachers and students.  Last year we awarded over $49,000 to teacher grants and programs in the NBISD.
