Hope Radiation Cancer Center Is Home to Top-Rated Radiation Oncologist

Jan. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Panama City, FL – January 4, 2013 – Hope Radiation Cancer Center in Bay County, Florida opened its doors for cancer treatment in June of 2012. Since opening, their practicing radiation oncologist, Hasan Murshed, MD, MS, has provided hope to thousands of families.

“I am proud to say that Hope Radiation Cancer Center is my only practice location and all my patients get my personal attention and care as they always deserve,” says Dr. Murshed. “Our mission is to provide hope to every patient through the most effective and compassionate cancer treatments.”

Dr. Murshed is Board Certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). He received his Master of Science degree in Radiation Physics from Louisiana State University, Louisiana, after receiving his medical degree.

Following an internship in Internal Medicine at Ohio Valley Medical Center, West Virginia, his training was provided through Radiation Oncology Residencies at nationally-recognized institutions including The National Cancer Institute (NCI) and The University of Alabama (UAB) in Birmingham; where he was chief resident. He received his fellowship training from M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. At M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Dr. Murshed specialized in head and neck cancer treatment, breast cancer treatment, lung cancer treatment, and prostate cancer treatment.

Dr. Murshed is a member of the American College of Radiology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology.

Dr. Murshed’s research thesis for his master’s degree involved radiation therapy for lung cancer. In addition, he has authored several Radiation Oncology articles on IMRT, head and neck cancer, endometrial cancer, prostate cancer and soft tissue sarcomas. Lastly, he has also published a popular Radiation Oncology book for medical school residents.
