QX60 Coming to Berman's Infiniti of Chicago this Summer
Named the QX60, this 2014 Infiniti model features Infiniti’s Direct Response Hybrid motor and two-clutch system adapted to front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. With these two features in play, Infiniti hopes to push the QX60’s fuel economy to best-in-class. Expect the 7-passenger QX60 to get around 26 miles per gallon.
Infiniti hopes to release the hybrid QX60 into the crossover lineup this summer along with the previously announced newbie, the Infiniti Q50 which is replacing the G sedan. Previously the JX35, Infiniti hopes that the QX60 will continue the crossover's reign as the 2nd best selling model behind the G line.
With its release, Infiniti will boast three hybrid vehicles within their lineup including the Q50 hybrid and the Q70 hybrid. Its MSRP is projected to be only $3,000 above its non-hybrid counterpart. Infiniti's goal was to extend driving rage, enhance fuel economy and reduce emissions without adding a major price increase to the line.
Powering the QX60 is a 2.5-liter supercharged engine and a 15 KW electric motor that is connected to a CVT Net system. These two features allow the hybrid crossover to get around 250 horsepower. The hybrid vehicle also uses regenerative braking system, meaning that the battery partially recharges during vehicle breaking.
With Infiniti placing added emphasis on technology, expect the QX60 to offer a wide range of standard and available amenities like Backup Collision Intervention system and more.
