I sat down with Master Steenrod of Water Mountain to ask him about the new website.
Me: "What compelled you to launch a new website."
Master Steenrod: "We were among the first martial arts schools in the country to set up a website to provide an easy source of information about our national martial arts school and about martial arts in general. At that time, there was no signficant search engine use, and we used traditional media to direct people to our web presence."
Me: "Wow, you guys are old school!"
Master Steenrod: "Yes, well, we advanced to keep pace with the technology. With the emergence of social media, it was time to adjust so that we could provide more responsive content. We also needed to adjust for changes in the search engines."
Me: "That sounds a little technical."
Master Steenrod: "In a nutshell, it let's us reach more people in Flagstaff and nationally. we are able to bring our amazing programs in martial arts and qi gong to them and change lives for the better. In short we are ale to provide fantastic lessons to great students. I can't ask for more than that."
