Nov. 25, 2012 - PRLog -- Based on Sunset Red the novel, SUNSET RED the fictional narrative short film offers a glimpse into the tormented lives of a family that struggles with abuse, deceit, and self-actualization but this awareness comes with a hefty price. Set in modern day South Los Angeles, the Redford family consists of a controlling preacher named Bishop, his passive faithful wife Clay Belle, their gay son Sterling and their troubled but headstrong daughter Augustine. SUNSET RED compels us to look inward and examine our own prejudices, biases and convictions. Also a feature length play, this story offers depth from a variety of angles and perspectives while opening dialogue on topics that polarize church, state and family.

IAN FOXX, filmmaker, photographer with over 40 years experience in the Entertainment Industry Directed and Co-produced the Film SUNSET RED. Foxx is the Chief Executive Officer of the Foxx Follies Theater Workshop. He attended Los Angeles City College where he studied film and taught at West L.A. College. He has performed in theater, television, films, and commercials. Foxx has been a Professional photographer over 15 years. The youngest cast member PARIS NICOLE, portrays Augustine in the film, a native of Los Angeles, is currently a full time exchange student at LSU (Louisiana State University) majoring in Theatre and is a transplant of California State University of Northridge. A triple threat, Paris sings, dances and acts with gusto and passion. Paris dances and performs with several dance crews in Baton Rouge and the Valley. A mover and a shaker, Paris grew up in the San Fernando Valley. She studied with Amazing Grace Academy under the guise of Wendy Raquel Robinson, Tracey Coley and Denise Dowse. Paris recently booked and shot a National Print ad for McDonalds but has several films coming out soon including FORGIVENESS by Hakim Khalfani and LIVE NO MORE by Reign Shaw.
