When Jimmy White came to Dr Les Baileys clinic in search of orthotics to put  an end to his plantar fasciitis, he was rightly sceptical.
He had tried every conceivable medical avenue in vain, and he was considering ending his career because of the pain.
Orthotics were a last chance to end this awful problem.
He was guided through how his feet worked, and how the orthotics were going to clear this problem once and for all.
He was difficult to convince, but went through with having his feet measured for prescription orthotics, which he did under some duress!!!!
The orthotics were duly manufactured in the united states and sent out to jimmy.
A few days after receiving them, he rang the clinic asking to speak to Les Bailey.
He was amazed and incredibly thankful that the orthotics had taken away all traces of his plantar fasciitis completely.
The terrible pain had gone!!!
He visited the clinic to say thank you in person, and presented Les Bailey with the photo and letter ( pictured )
Just before Les,s father died, Les arranged with Jimmy to play him at snooker at his club in Epsom. Jimmy was only too pleased to help, and Les Baileys father was a very happy man. He had been a fan of Jimmy White for many years.
Les will always be grateful to Jimmy for that act of kindness.

Dr Les Bailey started in physical therapies in 1981,qualifying in remedial massage,and later going on to qualify as an osteopath.
He gained his phd from OIUCM for a thesis on the succesful treatment of plantar fasciitis and orthotics
He was awarded a teaching/lecturing diploma from the northern school of osteopaths in 1993 and taught for many years.
He also holds a diploma in foot biomechanics .
