'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.'

October 1, 2012 San Diego, CA - Rock music group So Long Davey proudly announces the launch of their first CD 'The  Real Houseboys of Beverly Hills' on October 2nd 2012. The new record is a pop/rock anthem that continues to gain support in clubs and independent radio stations in the US and internationally. So Long Davey keeps industry tongues wagging with their new hit single '6AM - In My Room.' Their new CD is sure to place them on the map.

Always a group looking to give back to their loyal and supportive fans, So Long Davey hand delivered over 300 copies of their new CD in San Diego following a first-come first-serve campaign via Facebook on Monday October 1st, 2012. This followed a news story on San Diego's local NBC station and being musical guest feature on local independent music station 94.9.

Lead Singer David Vaughn is known for his amazing vocals on the single 'Making Out.' The record was mastered by Euphonic Master (Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger" and other hit songs for groups like music icons The Black Eye Peas and Barenaked Ladies.)

Growing up in San Diego, Lead Singer David Vaughn was deeply imbued with a love of music that led him to start singing at an early age. 'I knew I wanted to be an artist the second I attended a "No Doubt" concert' says Artist David Vaughn. 'Gwen Stefani's style on stage blew me away so much that I had to start singing.'

Born under the name So Long Davey, the group flowed into the world with a melodic mix of poetry and literary style that has been compared to Shakespeare. Their lyrics challenge young intellects into being interested in the world, serving as a catalyst of change in the modern world of Rock / Pop music.

In So Long Davey lyrics you can hear traces of the great musicians that have inspired and influenced them - No Doubt, Smashing Pumpkins, Bob Marley, John Mayer, The Flaming Lips. Lead Singer David had the pleasure of having a personal encounter with the Plain White T's early in his recording career that helped to evolve his musical style to what it is today.

Since 2009 when So Long Davey was formed, they have twice been booked on one of the nations largest musical tours to date - the Vans Warped Tour. While on the road with the Vans Warped Tour, So Long Davey had the pleasure of opening for such iconic music groups like Steel Panther, Plain White T's, 30 Seconds to Mars and Family Force 5.

Opening for the hit music group Plain White T's in 2011 lead So Long Davey to be profiled on MTV's Buzzworthy blog as one of the hottest up & coming musical acts of 2011. All of this momentum lead to So Long Davey being featured on Purevolume.com as the second most downloaded group after Paramore.

About The Real House Boys of Beverly Hills

Vaughn and Austin began writing the music for the album in 2010 where they penned the first single of the record, “Making Out”. After deciding to self-release their new albums, the band agreed to give people the option of how much to pay for the digital copies of the music once it’s released on October 2nd. The funding for the album comes directly from the band’s pockets and the fans who started pre-ordering limited edition of The Real Houseboys of Beverly Hills. The album was named after the title track in which Vaughn sings both about the band’s accomplishments against all odds and the party scene a kid from San Diego witnessed during his time spent in LA. Produced and engineered by Kyle Black (Neon Trees, Paramore, All Time Low) and recorded at Big Fish Studios in San Diego (Blink-182, Jimmy Eat World, Switchfoot), So Long Davey’s album promises huge sounds and catchy pop rock.

'The Real Houseboys of Beverly Hills' will be
released October 2nd, 2012 worldwide on SoLongDavey.com for
free, iTunes, Zune, and Amazon.

More Information:

Album released October 2nd, 2012
10 songs
First single “Making Out” released Spring 2012
Second single “Jenny” to be released October 2nd, 2012
The band was named after a terrible (but now humorous) quote lead singer David Vaughn heard when an ex dumped him - the spelling of the name later was due to how Jimmy Eat World spelled “Davey” in the song “A Praise Chorus”
