Among the elements unveiled are a new logo and a new strap line 'where students connect'. This is accompanied on the website by a clearer and more user-friendly navigation bar.
Jamie O'Connell, Marketing Director at The Student Room, said: “Over the past few years we’ve grown from an idea in a student’s bedroom to become the largest online student community in the UK.
“Now was the right time for us to redefine our brand and build upon the tremendous word of mouth that exists out there about us. Students need reassurance that they’re on track, they need support, friendship and fun. That’s what The Student Room is all about.
“Our updated brand identity gives us a solid platform to celebrate student success and amplify their voice.
“We connect students with their peers, with brands, government and education institutes. In fact, anyone that can help us support students in achieving the success they put their minds to.”
Throughout autumn there will be a series of design updates to The Student Room which, every month, reaches 5.5 million unique users. It has more than one million members.
