By: Smithers Apex

Sept. 27, 2012 - PRLog -- After welcoming over 185 attendees and with the strongest programme to date at IS2012, Smithers Apex is very pleased to build on this success and announce the Call for Papers for IS2013.

Last year's programme generated outstanding feedback and featured presentations from some of the industry's best known names including CMOS inventor Dr Eric R. Fossum and Dr Nobukazu Teranishi. 2013 will aim to continue this high level programme - as well as the latest market projections and topical presentations, we will give extensive coverage of the following applications in image sensor technology:

- Automotive imaging
- Digital Still Cameras
- Machine Vision
- Time-of-flight and 3D imaging
- Metrology
- Low light level imaging

The conference will also feature an 'Expert Panel' session to discuss some of the pressing issues facing the sector, and an 'Innovation Platform' session to give academics, spin-outs, and SMEs an opportunity to present their latest innovations to the audience.

We will be working with the programme committee over the coming weeks to publish the programme, and at this time we would encourage submission of paper proposals either for the main topics above, or for the Innovation Platform.

Please submit a short summary of the proposed presentation (max 500 words), plus a speaker biography to rstead@smithers.com by 26th October 2012.
