LIVEOUTLOUD, Jets and Jewels to sparkle on the runway

Sept. 26, 2012 - PRLog -- The LIVEOUTLOUD Group’s annual Jets & Jewels event will take place on Thursday 8 November 2012 with the inspiration this year being a sapphire spectacular. As one of South Africa’s top luxury lifestyle brands, LIVEOUTLOUD places Jets & Jewels on its calendar as a signature event, which will see the gathering of a select number of South Africa’s who’s who overlooking a runway at one of the Highveld’s most bespoke locations. The combination of fashion, aviation, sparkling jewels and luxury motoring will be set in an exclusively dressed Execujet airport hangar, located at Lanseria International Airport, Johannesburg.

The event’s proceedings will include an avant-garde showcase of fashion featuring a selection of handpicked, up-and-coming young designers in an haute couture spectacular. This exclusive reveal will be shown to guests in the form of a live fashion show, culminating in a panel of judges selecting the top designer of the evening. A special focus during Jets & Jewels this year is on the upliftment of South African designers with an emphasis on promoting local design talent.  “We are very excited to use Jets & Jewels this year as a platform to increase exposure and notoriety of some of our country’s finest designers,” explains Michael Eilertsen, CEO of the LIVEOUTLOUD Group. “The exclusivity and individuality of haute couture fashion fits perfectly within the sphere of LIVEOUTLOUD and this event in particular functions as a great stage for them to showcase their talents.”  

This year’s Jets &Jewels will follow a theme of Sapphire. On arrival guests will receive a glass of champagne with a precious stone lying suggestively at the bottom of the glass. In one glass, a real sapphire of substantial value will be waiting for a lucky guest to pick it out – instantly making them the proud owner of this beautiful gem.
