Brendon Q "The Dancer" Mohana of Denver, CO released a new post on his website, bestmachete.net, about combat machetes. A combat machete is a machete that is designed for tactical use. It can include things such as a good, non-slip grip, throwing accessories, and 550 cord. Combat machetes have been used for ages. They are also apart of a traditional martial art in the Philippines.
, Monahan states that "For tackling a bush that is truly tough, for maintaining the yard, for cutting coconuts etc, this tool proves to be very powerful. Whether it is a big task or a small one, anything can be handled easily by this tool," and that is very true. A machete has a wide range of uses from camping, cutting, slashing, and clearing.
However, there are several types of machetes and each type has its own purpose. Most combat machetes are of the Kukri type. This type has an angled blade that is weighted heavy on the front--aiding the cutter. Monahan states that the Kukri is his favorite type.
