Former Soldier Discusses the Best Fighting Knives

Konstantine La, a knife expert and former soldier, releases an article about the best combat knife for any soldier or marine.

PRLog - Nov. 29, 2012 - Konstantine La, a former US soldier and owner of bestmachete.net, writes an article on finding the best tactical knife for any situation. Tactical knives are knives used by Marines and Soldiers in the field. They are non-reflective and serve a utility purpose. They are also used for fighting.

How a tactical knife differs from kitchen knives are that they are smaller, darker, and thicker. Tactical knives often come between 3 and 12 inches.

Konstantine said "The difference between these knives versus other “fighting knives” is that they are field tested. Yes, that crazy shaped knife you seen online that is labeled a combat knife is not really field testing–maybe in the designer’s fantasy." And that is very true for real tactical knives.

The article was written for Soldiers and Marines who want to take their TA50 to the next level. Owning a combat knife is great if you want to cut those thick MRE boxes open, skin a deer, and kill the enemy.

One of the great things about tactical knives is that you can abuse them a lot. People often use them to pry open cans, dig holes, and throwing. The full article can be found here http://bestmachete.net/the-3-top-best-fighting-knives-for.... One of my favorite things about Konstantine La is that he is often found reading a book in his Boulder, CO apartment. He is an avid bus rider.
