for filmmakers to create a short film, in a short time and share it at a
community screening that brings together filmmakers, wannabe
filmmakers, and film lovers.
There will be CASH prizes for thewinners!
The Shootout kicks off on Friday, October 5th at 6PM at the Mix
Marketplace, 200 W. Michigan Ave., Ypsilanti, when registered filmmakers get a list of elements to include in their movie.
Once the official clock begins, the completed
films must be delivered 24 hours later on October 6th. Screening of
the top entries and winners will be held at the Riverside Arts Center,
76 N Huron St., Ypsilanti, on Sunday, October 7th.
Filmmakers’ creativity and teamwork capabilities will be tested in this
time-restricted production schedule. The Best of the Best will be
rewarded with cash prizes, unlimited notoriety, and will be showcased
to the world via WDEE-TV.COM.
The organizers of YPSI 24 are seeking "Founding Partners" to help
sponsor this event that will draw attention to Ypsilanti as a “film and
arts” town that will grow in stature for years to come.
