The Cleethorpes carnival has been staged every year for the last thirty-six years and the parade has always been the main focus of Lincolnshire's summer programme of activities for tourists and the local community alike. At one point it was even the largest parade of it's type in the whole of Europe.

This year thousands of people gathered in the streets over the five mile route from Sidney Park to the Meridian Park Arena to enjoy the annual street carnival and to join in with the family fun and festivities.

It transformed the popular beach resort into a sea of colour, with dozens of floats all made up to look their best, taking part in the parade, which has been a popular tradition in Cleethorpes since 1976.

The simply dazzling floats were joined by dancing dogs, jugglers, unicycles, a singing duo and a spectacular four-strong aircraft display.
