John Golden Appointed to Second Consecutive Term on Florida Bar’s Traffic Court Rules Committee

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep. 6, 2012 - The Traffic Court Rules Committee is comprised of 35 members from cities throughout Florida. The purpose of the commission is to ensure that court rules are producing expeditious and inexpensive proceedings. The committee members are Florida judges and attorneys who have significant experience and extensive training in traffic court. Members of the committee are appointed by the president of the Florida Bar, and they serve in 3-year terms. Florida traffic ticket lawyer Mr. Golden has served on the committee since 2009, and his new term extends from July 2012 to July 2015.

The committee is required to review all existing rules and reevaluate whether they “advance orderly and inexpensive procedures in the administration of justice.” (Rule 2.140, a6) Any committee member may propose a new rule or an amendment to an existing rule. The committee then considers the proposal and votes. Each committee then submits the proposals and voting records to the Florida Bar board of governors, the Speaker of the state House of Representatives, the President of the state Senate, and the chairs of the state House and Senate. Additionally, the proposed amendments are published online on the Florida Bar website and in the Florida Bar Journal.

Mr. Golden is well prepared to serve on the Traffic Court Rules Committee. The founder of Golden Traffic Ticket Law, he has been the attorney of record for more than 40,000 traffic cases. He graduated with highest honors from Nova Southeastern University Law School and has been practicing for more than a decade.
