VoucherCodes.co.uk, the leading shopping and money saving website looked at the cost of seeing the top five headline acts from each festival on their most recent tours and compared it with the cost of a full price weekend ticket.
Hosting two of the UK’s top three value festivals, Isle of Wight Festival and Bestival, the Island was revealed to be the destination offering music lovers the most bang for buck in 2012.
Despite missing out on this year’s top spot to Scotland’s T in the Park, Bestival still offers revellers incredible value for money. Attendees at this weekend’s event, where a ticket costs £180, will save a whopping £262 on the £442 it would cost to see main headliners (Stevie Wonder, Friendly Fires, New Order, The XX and Florence and the Machine) on their individual tours.
Likewise, those who attended the iconic Isle of Wight Festival in June saved a substantial £247 on the price of seeing headline acts including Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen, Jessie J and Biffy Clyro.

Duncan Jennings, co-founder of VoucherCodes.co.uk commented: “The Isle of Wight is known for being one of the UK’s live music hotspots, but this year it also cemented its position as the home of the country’s best value festivals. Our research shows Bestival and the Isle of Wight Festival are two of Europe’s best value events and for music lovers who want to see the world’s top artists without breaking the bank, a trip to across the Solent will be well worth the money.”
