Follow on Google News | Youth Organization Seeks Volunteers For PGA Tour ChampionshipDream Makers Youth Foundation needs volunteers to work concession stands during PGA Tour Championship—Proceeds help fund sports programming for children with special needs.
By: 5 Star Relations Proceeds will help with the general operations of their organization, and help cover the costs of their programs and events, including their S.T.A.R.S. Adaptive Tennis and Basketball Programs for children with special needs, which are offered free of charge, to their enrolled children. DMYF also offers tutorial services, hosts family movie nights, and recruits speakers to discuss topics relevant to families with special needs children, during their Parent Empowerment Series….all at no charge to their enrolled families. In order for DMYF to be able to continue to offer these programs without charge, your support is essential! Volunteers are needed for the following shifts: Wednesday 9/19: 9:00am - 3:00pm (6 volunteers) & 11:00am – close (6 volunteers) Thursday 9/20: 11:00am – close (20 volunteers) Friday 9/21: 11:00am – close (22 volunteers) Saturday 9/22: 11:00am – close (22 volunteers) Sunday 9/23: 11:00am – close (22 volunteers) Volunteers must wear dress pants, a white shirt, and comfortable shoes. They will be picked up and dropped off via shuttle buses from Turner Field, where volunteers can park free of charge! Shifts are typically six hours long, and in exchange for their time, volunteers will be provided with one meal ticket per shift worked; they will also be offered discount tickets to Dream Makers’ Casino Night & Auction, scheduled for November 17th!!
