NetCom Learning reveals the winner of May 2012 Sarder Scholarship for IT professionals

Aug. 16, 2012 - PRLog -- NetCom Learning announce that Phillip Oquendo, Jr. is the winner of the May 2012 Sarder Scholarship. The Sarder scholarship is awarded on a monthly basis to deserving individuals interested in pursuing a career in the Information Technology (IT) industry or in increasing their IT skills. The $2,500 NetCom monthly Sarder scholarship for IT professionals is dedicated to furthering the goal of lifelong learning.

Oquendo attended the New York Institute of Technology on a lacrosse scholarship where he majored in Business Administration. After being injured while playing lacrosse, Oquendo had to withdraw from the Institute after successfully completing two years of the degree program. Oquendo hopes to become an IT professional in the area of CISCO networking and plans on achieving both CCENT and CCNA certifications.
