Going Places Network by Walmart is designed to provide unemployed and under-employed women assistance in gaining professional skills to accelerate their job search and build confidence. Through weekly training sessions, one-on-one career coaching and networking in a supportive environment.

Women in this program should already have a resume and have at one time been employed for a period of time. Most of the women in the program have been unemployed or underemployed for several years either because of lay-off, economic, and / or family situations. Participants are introduced to professionals that are experts in their field of representation. We have found that this exposure offers great opportunities for networking and getting on the radar of some of the most respectable companies in Atlanta. In addition to networking opportunities the program has expert guest speakers and training to enhance the skills of attendees of the Going Places Network by Walmart program.


Tara Williams Online Marketing Strategist and Social Media Expert is a trainer and guest speaker for Going Places Network by Walmart. Proving creative and useful skills to help students of the program leverage Social Media to attract the attention of hiring managers and recruiters. She teaches key points on how to optimize your profiles on Social Networks to target the jobs in the industry that you want to in. Also showing tips to make connections and nurture relationships, through Social Media to help them in their job search.
