July 27, 2012 - PRLog -- New York native, Helene Ruiz is featured on The Wrighter as the blog explores the work of contemporary artists and reflects on the auctioning of “The Scream.”  The tribute to Edvard Munch’s iconic painting will conclude at the end of August 2012.

According to The Wrighter, Ruiz learned to draw before she ever spoke and credits her father for nurturing her creative interests.

When asked about her favorite work she has created, Ruiz stated, “This is almost impossible to answer, every work of mine is a part of my 'story' my soul, my heart. I have done quite a few series, for now I am working on The Game of Life series...you can see my works here: http://heleneruiz.redbubble.com.”

The Wrighter’s tribute to “The Scream” was created in May, after the record breaking auction in New York, and features two artists a week. Ruiz is the seventeenth featured artist and shares her images of some of her work.

Kobina Wright, writer and creator of The Wrighter, is a California native who earned her BA degree in Journalism from the California State University, Fullerton.  She has created several art series, including, “Fractured,”  “Cali Free,” “Eleven Twenty-Three Girl” and most recently, “Kobiphysics” which exhibited at the Huntington Beach Central Library in April 2012.  Wright is also a featured artist on the online gallery, America Fine Art (https://www.americafineart.org/Kobina).

Wright has written several books, including, “50” and “A Crime And A Simplification Of Something Sublime,” the latter includes several of her sketches.  She is also an actress who has performed in theater productions, independent films and commercials.
