Walmart Dress For Success Invites Tara Williams Social Media Speaker To Speak At Another Event

July 11, 2012 - PRLog -- On June 25, 2012 Tara Williams Social Media Speaker was requested to speak to the Dress For Success Atlanta organization by Walmart. The reception and information that was provided by Tara Williams, Atlanta Social Media Speaker "Blew Away" the attendees. Teaching those in attendance how to leverage Social Media. After such rave reviews Tara Williams has been invited back to speak in August to the invited guests of the Walmart Dress For Success Organization.


Dress For Success Atlanta - Going Places Network by WalMart


Going Places Network by Walmart is designed to provide unemployed and under-employed women assistance in gaining professional skills to accelerate their job search and build confidence through weekly training sessions, one-on-one career coaching and networking in a supportive environment.  The program serves as a 'safety net' for women who are referred to Dress for Success Atlanta’s Suiting and Career Center programs and don't immediately land jobs.

Women in this program should already have a resume and have at one time been employed for a period of time. Most of our women have been unemployed or underemployed for several years either because of lay-off, economic, and / or family situations. Participants are introduced to professionals that are experts in their field of representation. We have found that this exposure along offers great opportunities for networking and getting on the radar of some of the most respectable companies in Atlanta.

Each 6-12 week session is called a Cohort and there are three Cohorts planned for 2012. The second Cohort starts on Monday, July 23 and continues each consecutive Monday for 6-7 weeks from 8:30a.m.-3:30p.m. We are charged with recruiting at least 15 qualified women to go through the program, in hopes that they will land a job by the end of the program. It's an aggressive program so attendees must be committed.
