Creative Child Magazine Book of the Year for Family Values 2012- "Just Because" by Amber Housey

July 2, 2012 - PRLog -- MICHIGAN- Author Amber Housey announces her first book in the Flip Side Stories® series, "Just Because" has won book of the year award for family Values by Creative Child Magazine (www.creativechild.com).

Creative Child Magazine's Awards Program is unique in that all products submitted are reviewed by moms, music educators and early education professionals. Products are not reviewed by any one person. They are reviewed by many people-the very people who purchase them.

Each year, a 2-day event is held in Henderson, Nevada where over a hundred guest reviewers are invited to attend our organized review event at our local convention center. All products are divided into categories and displayed at various review stations. Guest reviewers are asked to sit and review each product at one station and then move to another station and so forth and so on. This allows for each product to be given multiple reviews.

"Having three children myself, Creative Child Magazine has been a resource for great ideas in my family. It is an honor to have my book recognized by this Magazine, " Amber says.

Amber has created a book series and a company called Flip Side Stories® that encourages children to see that there are different sides to every situation. Empathy is an abstract concept and can be difficult to teach to children. Amber uses her teaching and volunteer experiences to write her stories.   Her hope is to inspire a strong sense of empathy and compassion for others.

"Just Because", the first book in the Flip Side series, shares two sides of charity and helping those in need. This is something her family values and practices throughout the year.
