3D Haptic Simulator Provides Real-Life Approach: Saratoga Springs-Based Company Releases Third Topic

The new topic, along with the already-available Peripheral IV Insertion and Urinary Catheterization, were strategically selected because they carry a high risk for infection. tactile vr™ offers clinicians a training outlet that is promotes patient safety, quality care, and risk management.

Central Venous Catheterization, like the other simulator modules, immerses the user in a life-like simulated learning environment. While following best practice guidelines, it leads the user step-by-step using physical feeling throughout the entire procedure. tactile vr™ accomplishes this by incorporating haptic technology, the science of applying tactile sensation to human interaction with computers.

Haptics is one of the many aspects that sets tactile vr™ apart from other medical simulators. With the “millennial” generation entering the workforce, training programs need to match new users’ skills and expectations. tactile vr™ provides high quality 3D graphics with a gamer-type approach that will satisfy young clinicians as well as current generations in the workforce.
