Cedar Rapids Tire donates motorcycle tires, helmet to Mary Coonfare Cancer Benefit

Cedar Rapids Tire Company has donated products to a cancer benefit for the family of Mary Coonfare.
 
May 18, 2012 - PRLog -- Friday, May 18, 2012 (Marion, IA) - Cedar Rapids Tire Company of Marion, IA, has donated two Michellin Commander motorcycle tires and a Skid Lid motorcycle helmet to a cancer benefit for the family of Mary Coonfare.

Mary Coonfare was born in Cedar Rapids in 1952 and was a CNA for West Ridge Care Center during the last 12 years. She was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2010, losing both her mother and husband during her fight with the disease. Mary lost her own battle on May 13th, and friends have coordinated a benefit to help Coonfare's family with expenses.

The event will be held Saturday, May 19th, from 1p.m. until midnight at Big Shots Bar and Grill. The bar plans to provide live entertainment, including a band, DJ and karaoke, with a portion of the evening’s drink sales going to the family. Baked goods will be sold and a silent auction will be held for donated items. Big Shots is located at 1803 6th Avenue, Marion, IA.

Cedar Rapids Tire offers ATV and motorcycle tires, trailer, lawn and other types of specialty tires for sale, as well as a selection of motorcycle apparel, tire chains and winches. The store is located at 4601 8th Avenue in Marion, IA.
