April 3, 2012 - PRLog -- Irvine, CA – 1105 Media Education Group is proud to announce that FETC, its national educational technology conference for schools and districts, has been named among EXPO Magazine’s “Top 25 Fast-Growth Shows of 2011”—the only event serving the education field to be recognized on the list.

EXPO Magazine used a survey focused on shows’ performance metrics to compile their second annual list. Among the statistics considered by the publication included growth in the following areas: square footage, attendees, exhibitors, revenue and attendees per square footage; all of which were calculated by comparing the conference’s 2010 and 2011 numbers in those categories. The survey also touched on how the conferences, trade shows and expos used new strategies, new media and IT in inventive ways to showcase exhibitors.

“Not only is it an honor to be recognized by such a well-known industry magazine,” said 1105 Media Education Group’s Executive Director of Events, Mike Eason, “But to be the only educational technology conference ranked solidifies FETC’s position as the premier trade show in our field.” Eason adds, “FETC provides incomparable hands-on experiences with the latest software and hardware, strategies for all levels of educational professionals, and excellent peer networking opportunities.”

Founded in 1981, FETC attracted approximately 650 educational professionals to gather, discuss, learn and explore emerging technologies and how they can be implemented in classrooms, schools and districts to improve student instruction. The conference saw consistent annual growth since that inaugural year and was acquired by 1105 Media in 2007.Taking place in January of every year; this year’s conference was yet another success with almost 9,000 attendees from across the nation and around the world.
