The new T.H.E. Journal advisory board consists of eight leaders who will serve a two-year term. They represent a diverse group of institutions, including public school districts and organizations that serve K-12 education:

-Thomas Murray, Director of Technology and Cyber Education, Quakertown Community School District, Quakertown, PA
-Alice E. Owen, Division Director of Technology, Irving ISD, Irving, TX
-Mark Stevens, General Manager, NEA Academy, National Education Association Member Benefits (NEA), Washington, DC

In addition to the eight two-year board members, Judy Grissom, Superintendent of the Rowan-Salisbury (NC) School System, will serve a special one-year term representing her district which won the 2013 Sylvia Charp Award for District Innovation, a prize given annually by T.H.E. Journal and the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) (http://www.iste.org/membership/awards-recognition/sylvia-charp-award), in honor of the founding editor of T.H.E. Journal.

T.H.E. Journal
publishes monthly in online (browser) and iPad® formats. All editions include text, video, audio, animation, embedded web sites, photo slideshows, live Internet links, and more. The advisory board will help create the publication’s editorial calendar by assisting editors in identifying the most important issues and trends facing K-12 instructional technology and district infrastructure. Board members will also offer insight into monthly magazine topics as well as provide recommendations for experts and institutions that serve as models of best practices for technology implementation in K-12.
