LVP inaugural showcase highlights corporate demand for unique and unusual meetings & event spaces

March 12, 2012 - PRLog -- Lime Venue Portfolio, the UK’s largest collection of unique, unusual and sporting venues held its first venue showcase to an audience of more than 150 corporate meetings & events buyers and agencies at the Old Royal Naval College’s magnificent Painted Hall.

Guests had the opportunity to speak with representatives and familiarise themselves with the offerings of 36 of Lime Venue Portfolio’s national treasure houses and leisure destinations, iconic sporting stadiums as well as the UK’s major racecourses.

Exhibiting venues included the Kia Oval, Edgbaston, Royal Berkshire Conference Centre, Edinburgh Zoo, Dartmouth House, Stationers’ Hall, Museum of Science and Industry, Beaulieu, Kempton Park, Epsom Downs and Cheltenham Racecourses.

Many attendees enjoyed the opportunity to travel by Thames Clipper from the ExCel Arena and were greeted by Champagne on arrival and music from jazz trio Viva La Bop, acoustic guitarists Wandering Hands, and ‘mind reading and mentalism’ from magician Neb.

Lime Venue Portfolio indulged guests with a range of spectacular food stations including chilli and cracked black pepper squid rings in cones and a roast beef and honey roast ham carvery. The food experience was topped off by mini ‘pots of indulgence’ and ‘dry ice-cream’ made on the spot with carbon dioxide crystals.
