Feb. 27, 2012 - PRLog -- Lectromec (http://www.lectromec.com) has released the 6-Series Dust and Fog Tracking and Erosion Resistance Tester, the newest arc track test equipment for material analysis.

The 6-Series is the first generation of Lectromec’s tester for Electrical Insulation Materials meeting ASTM D 2132 test specification for “Dust-and-Fog Tracking and Erosion Resistance of Electrical Insulating Materials” (http://www.astm.org/Standards/D2132.htm).  The 6-Series tester is designed to run unattended to minimize the labor costs for unit operation.  The D2132 tester also has attractive price point making the business case for in-house testing an attractive option for many companies (http://www.lectromec.com/Services/TestEquipment/LEC6Series/).

“I am proud to announce the Lectromec 6-Series today.  It is the latest addition to our specialized test equipment line.” said Michael Traskos, President of Lectromec.  “The 6-Series ASTM D2132 tester was designed with the end user in mind. Since a single test can take more than a week to complete, we worked hard to ensure constant operation is possible without a technician monitoring the equipment.  Automatic shutoffs ensure that you will never have to arrive to a flooded lab in the morning.”

Lectromec produces specialized test equipment focused on polymer degradation and wire analysis for American and international test standards.  This test equipment is an extension of Lectromec’s primary business focusing on aerospace wire degradation analysis and risk assessment services for new and existing aircraft.

About Lectromec:  Headquartered in Dulles, VA, Lectromec has been developing advanced specialized test equipment since 1984.
