She began the business out of her home by accomodating her Radcliffe college friends. Her son David started working with his mother upon his honorable discharge from the U.S. Army in 1952. Hope and David were partners in the business until Hope's passing in 1978. Today the family business remains family owned and operated celebrating their 85th year.
