The Signature Room's New Easter Brunch Combines An Elegant Buffet With Individual A La Carte Options

The Signature Room will offer two dining options this Easter Sunday, April 8th. First from 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., a hybrid brunch with a buffet and individually plated entrees. Secondly, a classic a la carte dinner menu will be offered from 6-10 p.m.

PRLog - Feb. 10, 2012 - Chicago, Ill. –  On Easter Sunday, April 8th, The Signature Room at the 95th enhances this family holiday experience with two dining options.  First, from 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., the talented culinary team provides a delicious array of locally-sourced selections for a memorable hybrid brunch feast – one that allows guests to indulge in enticing starters and desserts from the buffet, and individual plated entrees served at the table for a truly sophisticated feast. During the Hybrid Brunch Buffet, live piano music provides a festive air and from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., the Easter Bunny hops in to greet kids of all ages.  A second option offered from 6-10 p.m. allows guests to choose from the classic a la carte dinner menu while enjoying the sparkling city views high above the Magnificent Mile.  

The Easter Hybrid Brunch Buffet starts with a buffet including a seafood action station with chilled shrimp and freshly shucked to order oysters complemented by horseradish cocktail sauce, lemon and Tabasco.  Additional starters from which to choose include a charred cuttlefish and fennel salad; crab salad with ginger remoulade and pea tendrils; an artisan cheese display with fruit chutneys and assorted caviar; charcuterie with assorted mustards and pickled vegetables; truffle deviled eggs; grilled Japanese eggplant with preserved tomato relish; seasonal greens with herb vinaigrette; roasted Klug Farm asparagus with gribiche aioli; a fresh fruit selection; vanilla yogurt, granola and honey parfaits; and the restaurant’s famed shrimp bisque.

A la carte entrees served at the table are accompanied by breakfast potatoes, sausage, bacon and seasonal vegetables.  Breakfast favorites include lemon ricotta pancakes* with blueberry compote and honey butter; eggs Benedict* created with organic eggs with Neuske’s Canadian bacon and classic hollandaise; and an omelet* with Klug Farm asparagus, morel mushrooms, fresh goat cheese and basil.  Additional entrée selections include Alaskan halibut with fresh peas, falafel, and preserved lemon aioli; grilled pork tenderloin medallions with cornmeal biscuits, greens, and wild mushroom gravy; lamb loin chop with orzo Bolognese and lemon jam; and a grilled New York strip with fingerling potatoes and ramp hash.  (*Denotes an item that can be prepared vegetarian)

For children, favorites including chicken fingers, mac and cheese shells and buttered broccoli will be served.  All children go home with a goodie bag prepared by The Signature Room’s heralded Pastry Chef.

A buffet of house-made desserts tops off the Hybrid Easter Brunch Buffet with a selection of decadent sweets, cookies, bars, brownies and seasonal pastries. At the dessert action station, irresistible treats are individually prepared.
