New Sugarcraft School to Open near Salisbury

Feb. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- Expanding upon Beverley Barter’s successful cake-making enterprise which she established over fifteen years ago, the new school promises a world of offerings to those interested in developing their expertise in cake decoration.

Having recently begun operating and opening its doors for the official launch on Saturday 11th February, Beverley’s sugarcraft school welcomes prospective students to take a tour of the new workshops and kitchens, and sample the delights in store with some celebratory tea and cake. Visitors will be able to see where the cake-work takes place and witness Beverley herself demonstrating the art of sugarcraft and decoration, as she encourages visitors to have a go themselves.

Beverley comments: “I’m so excited by the launch of my new school. Over the years we have seen a huge rise of enquiries about cake decoration lessons and the new studio will allow us to expand the range of courses and get more people involved.”

A host of new classes will become available from next month, with courses tailored for beginners, intermediate and advanced cake decorators. These will take place in eight-week blocks, with Beverley also running monthly workshops focusing upon specific crafts such as marzipanning and icing to wired flowers and creating stunning three-dimensional decorations for cakes.

The school will be officially opened by royal icing expert Eddie Spence MBE, who will be snipping the ribbon at a launch party in the evening, where local businesspeople and friends will be invited to celebrate the new location of Beverley’s Creative Cakes. She concludes:

“We have so much planned for the day – I’ll be encouraging people to have a go at some sugarcraft; it’s great fun to learn and the skills we teach enable students to use their imaginations to create beautiful cakes for any occasion. With Eddie coming along on the day too, it really is the icing on the cake!”
