Orlando, Florida Team Combat Wins Triple Crown’s Winter Nationals

Team Combat Wins Triple Crown’s Winter Nationals. The Triple Crown 2012 Winter Nationals Tournament was held in Clearwater, Florida at Eddie C. Moore Park.

PRLog - Jan. 21, 2012 - The Triple Crown 2012 Winter Nationals Tournament was held in Clearwater, Florida at Eddie C. Moore Park.  The Winter Nationals is only the tenth National Baseball Event produced by Triple Crown Sports in the United States.

Facing two very strong and well coached teams to win the championship game, Team Combat had to play the Orlando Tigers in the Semi-Final game winning 3-1 and coming out on top 4-1 against one of the top ranked 11u Majors teams in the country the Sarasota Salty Dogs in the Finals.  A strong team effort with good pitching and solid defense contributed to Team Combat’s Tournament win.

Triple Crown’s Winter National attracted teams from multiple states including Georgia, Illinois, New York, Michigan, and New Jersey.  “I was very pleased with the number of teams that traveled out of state to participate in this event,” said Triple Crown director Eric Hungenberg.  “Missing among a number of successful Triple Crown destination events was an opportunity for a cold climate team to get highly competitive baseball during the winter months.  Our expectation is to build upon what we accomplished in our first year and turn this event into something very special.”

One of the main sources of building teamwork and character has always been youth sports.  Team combat is part of The Central Florida Baseball Academy (CFBA).  The CFBA helps in developing positive character traits and a keen understanding of the sport of baseball through the CFBA’s Combat 11U and 10U baseball teams.  CFBA’s Combat 11U team for the 2011-2012 and 10U 2012 is dedicated to teaching all participants a commitment to lifetime fundamentals, both on and off the field.  The program begins with a top-level travel baseball coach, and includes players and committed parents who understand that it takes one big family to create a winning team, both on and off the field.

CFBA doesn’t simply teach the basic fundamentals, they teach the game of baseball.  The academy provides each player with year-round instruction and quality coaching from experienced professionals and strives to instill a strong sense of sportsmanship and teamwork in each player, while learning to become successful in the fundamentals of baseball.
