Rosemarie Hartnett & Mary Rogers
-- Abrakadoodle is kicking off its 10th anniversary year with a creativity workshop led by the Virginia-based company co-founders Rosemarie Hartnett, CFE and Mary Rogers, MA.Ed. The workshop, Creativity in Art Education: Experience It has been presented to overflow audiences throughout Asia to parents, educators and administrators who are seeking to help their children/students develop into future innovators. Participants will discover relevant research regarding the value of art and creativity; engage in activities that demonstrate how the creative process works; learn how children benefit from creative education, and gain new ideas and a fresh perspective. The 90-minute workshop fee is $45 ($35 for Abrakadoodle families) and will be offered one-time only on Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 7:30-9:00 pm at Abrakadoodle Art Studio for Kids located at Waterfront at Roslyn, 55 Lumber Road, Roslyn, New York.
“Creativity is something of an abstraction,”
says Ms. Rogers, “and so we designed this workshop to reveal the benefits of programs that tap children’s imaginations while providing parents, educators, and administrators with hands-on creative activities that drive home the value of this type of educational experience for children. Participants take away concrete information, explore creative methods and leave with a sense of resolve.”
