By: Robert Sharp & Associates View more information about the new episode: http://www.history.com/ In August 2011 the pickers made a trip to South Dakota. During their time here, they went to popular destinations including the 1880 Ghost Town. Their final, and most memorable stop on the trip was to Pioneer Auto, where they scavenged and ‘picked’ Dave’s collection of unique automobiles and memorabilia. According to the History Channel’s website, American Picker, Mike Wolfe, “spied a sexy belly tank cycle car with classic Hollywood history.” Make sure to tune in, as Pioneer Auto makes national television. The new episode will air Mon. Jan. 2, 2012 on the History Channel at 9 p.m. Eastern, 7 p.m. Mountain. About "American Pickers" from History.com: This isn't your grandmother's antiquing. Pickers like Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz are on a mission to recycle America, even if it means diving into countless piles of grimy junk or getting chased off a gun-wielding homeowner's land. Hitting back roads from coast to coast, the two men earn a living by restoring forgotten relics to their former glory, transforming one person's trash into another's treasure. American Pickers follows them as they scour the country for hidden gems in junkyards, basements, garages and barns, meeting quirky characters and hearing their amazing stories. If you think the antique business is all about upscale boutiques and buttoned-up dealers, this show may change your mind--and teach you a thing or two about American history along the way. # # # With more than 300 vintage cars, trucks and motorcycles, the Pioneer Auto Show & Prairie Town is one of the largest, privately-owned auto shows open to the public with 42 buildings of exhibits, 60 tractors, 60 motorcycles, toys, animations & music machines and an entire Prairie Town. The famed South Dakota car museum also carries a wide range of antique collectibles and a famous collection of Zeitner rocks, gems and fossils. End
