Join Us For an Orchestral Peformance of the Messiah in Evanston on Dec. 18th at 10:30 am.

Dec. 18, 2011 - PRLog -- Lake Street Church’s 150 year old sanctuary with its high vaulted ceilings and heavy wood carvings provide an intimate and acoustically welcoming environment for a rendering of Handel’s Messiah.  Being performed with a simple orchestra of harpsichord, strings, and trumpet, this performance will be in keeping with authentic Hanelian standards. Six professional soloists will complement the chorus of 45 voices in this presentation.
     Although there will be so many, many high caliber, professional performances of Messiah this Christmas season, few will compare with this Handelian performance. If you are the kind of person who has always enjoyed this marvelous music and the fabulous spirit that it harkens, you will want to be sure to attend this year’s memorable performance of The Messiah at Lake Street Church.
    There is no cost for attending, but a free will offering will be accepted at the end of the performance.  The church is handicap accessible and free parking is allowed on Chicago Avenue on Sundays, and is also available in the Best Western underground parking lot on Sherman and Lake street.
