Los Angeles – November 17, 2011 – Cushman & Wakefield today announced that William Robertson has joined the firm as a Managing Director representing clients on all aspects of real estate strategic planning; space needs analysis, program development, design, construction, and relocation.  In his new role he will support Cushman & Wakefield’s brokerage group as well as the company’s Corporate Occupier and Investor Services division.

“We are delighted to have William on board supporting Project Management, Strategic Planning, and Brokerage services in the Los Angeles area,” said Joe Vargas, Executive Vice President, Area Leader, West Region of Cushman & Wakefield’s Southern California offices.  “His focus on cross-functional team building to address complex client requirements offers important value and is a great fit for Cushman & Wakefield’s collaborative approach to problem solving.”

A highly respected leader in his field, Mr. Robertson is known for his unique and innovative approach to client service which leverages proprietary graphic and interactive tools to bind the corporate vision with real estate requirements.  He has extensive experience in Integrated Strategic Planning, a visual and interactive survey process uncovering visual preferences, location needs, size needs, and growth patterns in order to more precisely match clients to what’s available in the market.  The process reduces the difficulty and margin of error in the complex process of matching clients with office space, industrial space, or development potentials.

Mr. Robinson advises clients from various industries including finance, technology, medical, entertainment, and law. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, he was most recently a senior vice president and group leader with Grubb & Ellis, Inc.  From 2006 to 2011, he served as a director and group partner with Studley, Inc.

A licensed Real Estate Salesperson in California, Mr. Robertson is a 1998 graduate of Cornell University, College of Architecture, Art, and Planning.  His professional affiliations include the US Green Building Council LEED Accredited Professional and he is a Board member at the Environmental Charter School System.
