Follow on Google News | Flashmob A Singing Success For Digital AgencyMaidstone-based digital marketing agency Pillory Barn worked on their first flashmob to raise awareness for Ashford-based children’s charity, The Caldecott Foundation.
By: Rachael Webb The 80-strong Flashmob choir took centre stage at Dobbies Garden World in Ashford on Sunday the 30th October. Unaware shoppers and staff were pleasantly shocked when the choir, who were previously mingling incognito in the crowds, burst into song. Pillory barn roused anticipation with local press coverage of a surprise event, but it was kept secret from shoppers and the majority of Dobbies staff for full impact. The song ‘I’m walking on Sunshine’ by Katrina and the Waves was a fitting choice for the charity whose sunshine logo is accompanied with the strapline ‘giving children a brighter future’. Pillory Barn devised the stunt to raise awareness for the children’s charity within the county of Kent. The entire event was documented by Pillory Barn, and has already attracted much attention on YouTube. 2011 has been a special year for The Caldecott Foundation who has celebrated 100 years of caring with a Centenary Appeal.
