Prepare for LSAT Exam with UMSL's Test Prep Program

Pave the way to law school with a curriculum specifically designed by test prep experts, using actual LSAT questions and practice tests.

PRLog - Oct. 17, 2011 - ST. LOUIS -- St. Louis, MO – The University of Missouri–St. Louis offers an LSAT Test Prep program to help prepare students to take the standardized test required for law school admission. The course is 6:00–9:00 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays, October 25–November 29, 2011. The curriculum is specifically designed by test preparation experts, using actual LSAT questions and provides an easy to follow preparation plan. Practice tests also are provided.

“In having an LSAT prep course on campus, UMSL students have yet another valuable in-house resource to help prepare them for their journey toward law school matriculation,” said Dr. Richard T. Middleton, IV, PhD, JD, UMSL pre-law adviser and associate professor of political science.

The LSAT exam provides a standard measure of acquired reading and verbal reasoning skills that law schools can use as one of several factors in assessing applicants. Students are tested on Reading Comprehension, Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and a writing sample. The LSAT is administered four times per year – October, December, February and June. Many law schools require that the LSAT be taken by December for admission the following fall. The upcoming test date is December 3, 2011.

UMSL’s Test Prep is offered through Educational Testing Consultants. ETC is a University program, offering the University’s valuable skills and knowledge. The instructors are specifically trained to teach the exam subjects, and the curriculum developers have years of experience writing LSAT exam questions. Classes are held on UMSL’s campus and are limited to 30 students to ensure personal attention.

“There are more than four hundred UMSL graduates practicing law in the St. Louis region,” said Terry Jones, political science departmental chair. “We are committed to being an institution of choice in preparing students for law school.”

The course fee of $899 includes instruction as well as all course materials and practice tests.
