Follow on Google News | Children's Advocacy Center Receives Dollar General Literacy Foundation GrantThe Children’s Advocacy Center of Southwest Florida receives a grant from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation which will directly benefit children enrolled in the Pine Manor After-School and Summer Programs to improve their reading skills.
By: Samantha Scott The iStation Reading Program is an Internet-based reading and intervention software program for students in Pre-K through Grade 5. Developed with input from many of the nation’s leading researchers and aligned to the federal No Child Left Behind Act, iStation delivers individualized and small group instruction focusing on five key reading areas: phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, comprehension and fluency. The Pine Manor After-School/ Program services are provided free of charge at the Pine Manor Community Center and include the following activities: homework help, reading programs, character education, field trips, guest speakers, crafts and outdoor play.
