Stone Crab Claw Season Coming Soon! Pinchers Crab Shack Celebrates With “Stone Crab Fest”

Oct. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- Stone crab season is just around the corner and Pinchers Crab Shack, the locally owned and operated collection of seven seafood restaurants, is ready to get started. Season officially begins, Saturday, October 15th and they plan to have claws in all the stores by 5 p.m. that day.

With “you can’t fake fresh” as their company motto and a focus on quality control, Pinchers Crab Shack is the ideal place to purchase stone crabs. As the largest retail stone crab purveyor on the West Coast of Florida and the second largest in the country, they own The Island Crab Company, a seafood wholesaler and distribution facility in Pine Island, Florida. Island Crab Company crabs our local waters for Pinchers providing our customers the freshest product as they control the seafood from the water to the table.  Guests can purchase claws to eat at any of their seven locations, or purchase some to take home from one of their in-store seafood markets.

As stone crabs are the only renewable resource in the water, Pinchers is proud to kick off the season by bringing back Stone Crab Fest at Tin City in Naples. Pinchers will start the celebration on Friday, October 28th from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Special guest appearances by Mayor Bill Barnett and players from the undefeated 1972 Miami Dolphins will crack the first claws and then give way to the stage for live music from Deb & The Dynamics.

Stone Crab Fest will continue all weekend from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday bringing stone crabs fresh off the boat to serve you all weekend long.
